Choosing print dimensions

Common sizes for chest, full front, back and sleeve prints.

Typical print sizes (adult garments)

These are common starting points. The best size depends on the garment size and the shape of your design.

  • Left chest logo: about 8–10 cm wide.
  • Centre chest: about 15–20 cm wide.
  • Full front: about 25–30 cm wide.
  • Full back: about 28–32 cm wide.
  • Upper back / neck: about 8–12 cm wide.
  • Sleeve: about 6–9 cm wide.
  • Kids' garments: reduce by roughly 25–35%.

How to decide

  1. 1Measure across the chest of a similar garment you own.
  2. 2Leave a few centimetres free on each side so the print does not wrap into the side seams.
  3. 3Consider the shape: tall designs look larger than their width suggests, so check height too.
  4. 4Remember that one print size is used across all sizes in an order unless you ask for adjustments.

Small details

  • Very thin lines (under about 1 mm) and very small text (under about 6 pt at print size) may not hold well after washing.
  • If unsure, request a quote with your preferred size and our team will advise before printing.
