Understanding transfers versus finished garments

Order ready-to-press transfers, or let us print the garments for you.

Finished garments

We supply the garment, print it and deliver the finished item. This is the easiest option if you don't own a heat press.

Transfers only

We print the designs on film and you press them onto your own garments. Popular with print shops, resellers and anyone with a heat press. Transfers are often arranged on a gang sheet to use the film efficiently.

Pressing your own transfers

  1. 1Pre-press the garment for a few seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
  2. 2Place the transfer, printed side down onto the fabric.
  3. 3Press using the settings supplied with your transfers — typically around 150–165 °C, medium-firm pressure, 10–15 seconds. Always follow the instructions for the specific film.
  4. 4Peel the film when the instructions say (hot or cold peel).
  5. 5Optional: cover with a protective sheet and press again for 5–10 seconds for a more durable, softer finish.
  • Test on a spare garment first, especially on new fabric types.
  • Store unused transfers flat, in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
